Cambodia Tomorrow
For nearly 40 years, the ramifications of war have haunted Cambodia. The majority of the people are uneducated and 41 percent of the population is less than 15 years of age. More than 3000 orphanages are filled with children.
Cambodia Tomorrow [CamTom] is an American non-profit organization, providing English language education for orphans at the Kompong Speu Orphan Center near Pnom Penh. Their goal is to help the children of Cambodia achieve a brighter future.
CamTom has been providing tuition for nearby English language classes since 2002; and in 2008 the Cambodia Tomorrow School opened it's doors, offering a local environment for learning. The school provides English language instruction and computer training for more than 70 students who reside at the KS Orphan Center, and all students receive additional tutoring.
By 2008, CamTom had helped 5 students attend University; these boys embody the pride and promise of the program.
